The things patients tell me or just the things they say in passing are enough to make me pee my pants on a fairly regular basis.
I'm going to start keeping a list of all the funny quotes patients say to me and post them on a monthly basis. Sooner if I get enough.
But I wanted to share these two with you because they are pretty funny.
I was bringing a patient back and told him to step on the scale. His wife quickly put up a magazine to hide the numbers and told him to guess his weight.
He guessed 181. She pulled the mag down and said in her Jersey accent: "186, you cookie eatin' bastard!"
Another patient was telling me about her headache. She said " if I cough it feels like my brain is going to explode out of my head. If I had a brain, but I don't because I work at Walmart."

Always the truth from the wife. and I hate to agree but there arent many brains working in Walmart, at least the one where I shop.

I worked in a doctors office as a teen and when I took a patient back into the room, I was supposed to ask why they needed to see the doctor... one guy was mortified and mumbled "STD"... I had no idea what that was, so I gave him a big smile and said "hope you're feeling better soon"
