I'm Staying With Aunt Bobbi

This little girl is the light of my life. She is my niece "Mallory".

My sister always jokes that she gave birth to my child. My niece looks like me, acts like me and has the same mannerisms as me.

It's been such a joy getting to know her this past year that I've been in Utah. Whenever I would go run errands, she would always come with me and had become my little shopping partner.

I'm was so sad to hear that Connie and her family would be moving back to Denver. I was going to miss that little girl and our shopping trips.
She had her Aunt Bobbi wrapped around her little finger and she ALWAYS came home with something from our trips together.

Well, Connie informed me today that I wouldn't have to miss her at all.
These are the series of text messages she sent me earlier today.

"Mallory" just told me she's going to miss me.
Said you got you and her an apartment.
I guess she's staying with you.

Then when I got home she again said that she wanted to stay with me. I get her and mommy and daddy get her brother.

God I'm going to miss that little girl when she's gone.

How

How do you help someone that doesn't want help?

How do help someone that thinks they can get through very painful things by themselves, or without the help of a professional?

How do you help someone who says they want to get better but then they don't do anything to make it happen?

How do help someone that won't help themselves?

How do you put your family through this kind of anguish?

He's Obsessed Now Too!

Ok, so obsessed isn't the right word but I got my brother in law hooked on the Twilight series!

He told me he had seen part of Twilight but fell asleep halfway through and that he wanted to watch the whole thing.
So Friday night I fired up the DVD player, put in Twilight and we watched it together.

Then Saturday night we watched New Moon.
We were supposed to go see Eclipse today but we never made it.

I have to take Connie and now iKeith, so I'll get to see it a couple of times. Lucky me!
